Sorry Mazda RX-t fans, its official – there’s no replacement for the RX-7 sports car planned (or indeed the rumoured RX-9).
Mazda boss Masamichi Kogai had told American journalists there is now such vehicle in the company’s future model plans.
It’s all about the dollars and while the success of SkyActiv and all-new cars like the CX-5, BT50, Mazda3, Mazda6 and Mazda2 has lead to a much0improved bottom line, for now the Japanese giant is focusing on these and next-generation SkyActiv products.
