Mazda Australia has already had its best ever year in Australia, with a whole month of sales remaining.
So far this year Mazda has sold 104,316 cars, which surpasses its best ever-sales results of 103,886 vehicles which was set in 2012.
Mazda is currently holding a 9.9% market share and is in second position behind Toyota.
Sales highlights for the Japanese importer from January 2015 to the end of November 2015 include selling 35,199 Mazda3s, 23,619 Mazda CX-5s and an impressive 11,419 Mazda CX-3s in 8 months.
Mazda Australia managing director, Martin Benders said: “We are of course delighted to be in a position where we have broken our all-time annual sales record, and to have recorded over 100,000 sales for the fourth consecutive year. With December ahead of us – a month that is traditionally a busy one for the industry - we believe we will end the year close to 113,000 sales and we are striving for a 10 per cent market share – which has never been achieved by Mazda. We are proud of the support of our Dealer network and our staff to deliver such a strong performance over the last few years, and elated with the 13 and a half per cent growth that the brand has experienced in 2015.”
Also helping Mazda to achieve record sales was the Mazda MX-5 which had its strongest ever month with 221 cars sold for the month of November.
In 2016 Mazda will launch the all-new 2016 Mazda CX-9 that was debuted at the Los Angles motor show last month. The 2016 Mazda CX-9 is the last in the family to receive the latest styling treatment.
We look forward to bringing you the 2016 Mazda CX-9 review when it launched in Australia mid next year.
