Not for shrinking violets.

Mystery Lynk & Co. Concept

It seems that Chinese-backed manufacturer Lynk & Co. is in high gear, with images of a concept saloon surfacing online this week replete with show-stopping looks, oddly-hinged doors, and wheels larger that some dinner tables.

The images themselves were published by Adamsky Management, and captured by photographer Fred Etoall, were commissioned by the manufacturer and show off the concept’s striking looks to great effect. This is the first time we’re looking at the Lynk & Co. design language being applied to a saloon body style, with spy shots we previously carried showing off little on the aesthetics of the new car.

While the concept adopts the distinctive corporate face we first saw with the SUV, there are only a handful of shared details between the two cars. This suggests that Lynk & Co. may be taking very different approaches with their two products, aiming to please the different tastes that come with the traditional saloon & SUV buyer.

The 02 saloon, when it debuts, will likely share its underpinnings and mechanicals with the latest crop of Volvos, under the strategic partnership the Swedish firm shares with its Chinese sibling. Both companies are owned by parent-company Geely, which intends to see the Lynk & Co. brand compete alongside Volvo, albeit with different focuses and priorities.

Stay locked-on to CarShowroom for more details as they come.
