The reimagination of a legendary race car.
Lister may be making quite a bit of noise for itself turning hot Jaguars into even hotter ones, but their sights are set higher, harbouring intentions to bring its Knobbly race car back to life, with a modern-day reinterpretation of the low-slung performance model.
In the sole teaser, it’s clear to see that the 2019 Knobbly concept is very much in keeping with the original 1950s Knobbly, with its low-set cabin hemmed in by massive wheel arches (within which sit enormous wheels). The original proportions of the Knobbly are all kept in check here, but at first glance, it’s clear to see that the original spirit of the car is intact here.
The Knobbly concept will be sharing the stand in Geneva alongside the Knobbly Continuation, as well as the more contemporary Lister Jaguars. The Lister Thunder, based on the F-Type sports car, puts out a whopping 497kW from its supercharged-V8 mill, ensuring that its bite is as strong as its bark.
