Celebrating 40 years – and 20 years since the original turbocharged WRX was launched – the Subaru WRX RS40 commemorates the company’s motorsport history and naturally it’s only available in the hallmark WR mica blue paint colour with gold-coloured 17-inch alloy wheels.
You also get a heap of extras from the Subaru Tecnica International division – more than $7,000 worth in fact – so all things considered the WRX RS40 is a very significant addition to the Subaru lineup.
Included in the extras are Recaro seats with blue Alcantara inserts, an STI rear spoiler, STI front lip spoiler, STI short-shift gear assembly, STI flexible tower strut brace and those gold 17-inch WRX alloy wheels. On the outside are R240 decals and inside each vehicle gets an individually numbered RS240 badge.
We wonder how close the new WRX will be to the concept car (pictured above) when it goes in to production?
