Commemorating 50 years since the first crossing of the Simpson Desert by an original G60 Patrol, Nissan has launched a special edition Simpson 50th Anniversary Edition based on the current Series 8 ST model.
Lots of value with the Simpson 50th Anniversary Edition Nissan Patrol loaded with $8,500 worth of extras, but stickered at $56,990 (manual) and $59,990 (automatic). Nissan will produce 500 of the commemorative models.
Included in the extras are Satellite Navigation (with Hema Tracks), a reversing camera, a new-design alloy bulbar, driving lights, roof bars, kick plates, a bonnet protector, air-guide plus a stainless steel wheel-cover and 41-litre coolbox – both with 50th Anniversary logos.
“The Patrol has proven itself over the years as a dependable and rewarding four-wheel-drive and has earned its place as a venerable icon of the Nissan brand,” explained Nissan’s Michael Hill. “With the new Patrol due this summer we are confident that the Patrol brand will remain a leader both on and off the road in the Australian four-wheel-drive landscape.”
