The Lexus CT 200h has been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating following barrier tests by Euro NCAP.
Overall the Lexus CT 200h scored 83 per cent in the Euro NCAP tests - eight per cent higher than the minimum requirement for a five-star rating - capturing 94 per cent for adult occupant protection, 84 per cent for child occupant protection and maximum points in the side barrier impact.
As well as occupant protection, Euro NCAP also considers pedestrian safety and “safety assist” parameters such as stability control, speed limiters and seatbelt reminders.
The strong Euro NCAP performance by the new Lexus hatchback comes on top if its ‘Top Safety Pick’ status from the North American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
