Kia has unveiled these sketches of its all-new, range-topping premium sedan which goes on-sale at home in Korea during the first half of this year.

Kia’s first-ever rear-wheel-drive vehicle, the all-new model – code-named KH – is set to become a global image leader for the Korean brand but curiously is not destined for right-hand-drive markets in Australia, mainland Europe or Britain.

The sketches look very good – as we’ve come to expect from Kia’s Peter Schreyer-led styling efforts – with classic premium sedan proportions, offset by a dynamic and powerful looking bonnet and front fenders with sweeping, wraparound headlights.

It’s a very sophisticated design which still manages to blend-in Kia’s ‘family’ grille.

Kia says we should expect lots of technology inside and out when the all-new model bows.

According to Soon-Nam Lee, Kia’s Director of the Overseas Marketing Group: “Our all-new flagship sedan integrates all of our key capabilities such as design, performance, high-tech features and infotainment into one striking model. Although launch timings for those overseas markets it will go to are yet to be confirmed, this all-new rear-wheel-drive sedan will definitely become the leading model of our global lineup, showcasing the best of the best of Kia.”
