With so much new model activity coming from all corners of the globe, you can mount an argument to say the bi-annual Frankfurt Motor Show has become the world’s premiere auto show.
Next-up to announce forward plans is Kia – the Korean giant confirming its new B-Segment concept will bow in Germany in a couple of weeks.
“Playful but gutsy, sturdy yet impish,” sounds like a football team talent scout’s report on a junior player but it’s how Kia describes its Frankfurt debutant which won’t make it into production in its current sporty guise.
What we can glean form this concept is a future design direction for Kia’s European small cars – a continuation of the current theme but clearly getting more athletic with each passing concept.
Like some other concepts we’ve heard coming to Frankfurt, this compact car from Kia uses a mix of contrasting materials as part of its design ‘funk’.
