Kia has released official photos of its new ‘Ray’ – a compact hatchback for the domestic Korean market.
While Australians might think the Kia Ray puts the ‘box’ back into ‘boxy’ the fact is versatile, compact vehicles like this are huge sellers in Korea – perfect for the traffic-snarled streets of Seoul (as anyone who has visited the bustling Korean capital can confirm).
And the Ray actually exudes the complex, contemporary styling which has become a hallmark of Kia vehicles under the direction of the company’s German styling chief Peter Schreyer. Note the Kia ‘corporate’ grill and clever headlights which feature incorporated DRLs.
The Kia Ray takes convenience to the max with a sliding passenger door for easy access in tight parking spots and optimized loading of bulky items.
