Kia’s all-new flagship model in Korea – the elegantly-styled K9. Kia’s first rear-wheel-drive premium sedan will get a more appropriate name for export markets.
Part of the same family as the Optima sold in Australia, the Kia K9 exudes class with styling reminiscent of Audi’s A7 Sportback and Volkswagen CC.
While presenting some cues from Kia’s corporate styling book, the K9 is sophisticated and contemporary with a purposeful on-road stance and LED combination headlights.
Kia is not giving away too much at this stage with Soon-Nam Lee, the company’s overseas marketing chief saying: “K9 is our first rear-wheel-drive large sedan, created without compromise in its design, driving performance and new technologies. K9 sets a whole new level of standards and values in the large sedan segment, and its design will be another Kia demonstration or our brand’s power to surprise the world.”
