Kia’s all-new KX3 has broken cover in Guangzhou, China – but don’t get too excited just yet as the good-looking SUV is just for the Chinese market.
The compact (C-Segment) Kia KX3 is all-wheel-drive and employs the 1.6-litre direct injection turbo-diesel engine driving through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Measuring 4,260mm in length (with a handy 2,590mm wheelbase for generous interior space, the Kia KX3 looks ready for off-road action with its raised ride height. And there’s plenty of room for camping and sports equipment with a flat 400-litre cargo bay.
Styling sees Kia’s hallmark ‘Tiger Nose’ grille in matt chrome, wraparound LED headlights and chrome-look body cladding.
Kia operates in China via its DYK joint venture and of course cashed-up young Chinese drivers are craving athletic SUVs like the KX3.
