Kia’s Cerato sedan – regarded by Car Showroom as one of the best compact sedans on the market – finally gets a hatchback brother in October.
Cerato hatch was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show (called the Forte in the North American market).
Like its sedan brother, Kia’s hatch is a superb styling job – a purposeful on-road presence and noticeable new front grille, lower valance and alloy wheels. Inside is a new center console.
Kia’s excellent 2.0-litre engine carries-over to the hathcback version of the Cerato, driving through a new six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Local details will be announced closer to the October launch.
