Could this be the replacement for the Revero?
Karma Automotive, the car company born from the ashes of Fisker Automotive, has dropped a single teaser image of the car that promises to put distance between the new firm and its less-than-stellar past. The new concept is the product of a deep collaboration between Karma and respected Italian design house Pininfarina, and will be making its full debut at the Auto Shanghai show that opens April 16th.
It has no name, but its shape is obvious. The wide LED daytime running lights flank a prominent Karma logo, beneath which sit what to us look like a pair of exaggerated air intakes that drew inspiration from the Karma Revero’s ‘moustache’ grille. Judging by the proportions, the new concept car is almost certainly a coupé of some kind, either a large grand-tourer or an even-larger 4-door jobbie, as is the current trend.
Hopefully there shouldn’t be too much time between the debut of the concept and its gestation into a proper production car. Reducing that wait time was part of what Pininfarina & Karma aimed to achieve when they announced their cooperation back in January, with the Italian firm set to “accelerate future technology & product development through Pininfarina’s turn-key automotive experience.”
Karma will feature no less than three cars at the upcoming Shanghai show, with a new Revero saloon, this concept, as well as the Karma Vision. The latter vehicle has been teased already, with an image of it from last week teasing Karma’s “long-term direction in terms of luxury craftsmanship, advanced technology, and evolution in luxury design language.”
