If Jeep's already pretty brutish Grand Cherokee SRT didn't offer enough attitude, there's now an SRT Night version for that extra touch of menace.
Jeep has announced that the darker, meaning looking Grand Cherokee SRT Night will be making its way down under, hitting the Australian market by the June.
Powered by the same 6.4-litre HEMI V8 with 344kW and 624Nm of torque that’s found in the regular Grand Cherokee SRT, the Night comes with exclusive styling upgrades that will make the big Jeep standout.
First off will be a set of newly-designed lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels unique to the SRT Night with a split five-spoke design called “5Ten” that has a satin black finish. To match its wheels, the exterior also follows that same theme, featuring a black grille, lower front fascia and side window surrounds, satin-black treatments on all exterior badge work.
Inside, the Night theme carries on with black Laguna leather upholstery with silver accent stitching, black chrome and anodized silver bezels. There’s also a 825W 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system as standard.
Of course, the Grand Cherokee SRT Night will still offer strong levels of performance: a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.8 seconds (0.1 faster than the standard Grand Cherokee SRT), a quarter-mile run dispatched in around 13 seconds, and a top speed of 255km/h.
“The Night edition gives our customers the opportunity to purchase a customised vehicle straight from the dealership, with Jeep’s most popular style enhancements already applied,” said FCA Australia’s Director of Product and Marketing, Zac Loo.
“The Grand Cherokee SRT is already a potent performance SUV, and the Night edition looks even better on the road.”
