Jeep has boosted its hot-selling Grand Cherokee SUV lineup with the launch of the ‘Summit’ special edition.

Based on the already well-equipped (including Quada Lift Air Suspension, Selec-Terrain traction control, forward collision warning with crash mitigation, blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-path detection) Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Overland, the ‘Summit’ adds extra luxury features and is priced at $75,000.

Included in the extras are body-colour wheel-arch flares, satin-finish 20-inch alloy wheels, some extra chrome and trapezoid exhaust tailpipes. Inside is Jeep’s highest-grade leather (‘NaturaPlus’), wood trim, ‘suede-like’ headliner and a thumping 19-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system.

Power comes from Jeep’s 184kW/570Nm 3.0-litre V6 diesel, driving through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Grand Cherokee has already racked-up more than 10,000 sales so far this year and for the last four months has been Australia’s best-selling large SUV.
