Jeep has boosted the popular Grand Cherokee lineup with the addition of a new V6 petrol-powered model in range-topping Overland grade.
Priced at $65,000, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 3.6 is great value and joins other luxurious Overland models – the V6 turbo-diesel and range-topping Hemi V8 - which are both tagged at $69,500.
Jeep’s 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol powerplant, with a handy 210kW/347Nm on-tap, continues in Grand Cherokee Laredo ($45,000) and Limited ($55,000) models.
But adding the V6 to the luxurious Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland lineup is good news for luxury full-size SUV buyers as the Overland is extensively equipped with real wood and timber inside, 16.5cm touch-screen with satellite navigation, dual-pane panoramic glass roof and a power liftgate.
“We listened to our customers and worked hard to bring this variant to Australia,” revealed Fiat Chrysler Australia chief Clyde Campbell. “We know it is going to be real crowd pleaser.”
