Jeep has give the Cherokee mid-size SUV and full-size Grand Cherokee the ‘Blackhawk’ treatment.
As per previous Blackhawk models, the latest additions add lots of styling enhancements in black.
For the Cherokee this includes 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, grille and fascias. There’s also an 8.4inch Uconnect infotainment system which adds DAB+ digital radio.
The Cherokee Blackhawk is based on the mid-grade ‘Longitude’ model powered by the 200kW/316Nm 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine.
Much the same story for the Grand Cherokee Blackhawk which uses as its donor cars the Laredo specification model with either the 210kW/347Nm 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine or the 184kW/570Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel.
The black-on-black extras include 20-inch alloy wheels, Capri leather seats (fronts heated) with perforated suede inserts, rear tail-light and fog-light bezels (headlights bezels are gunmetal), roof mouldings and rear step pad.
The range is:
| Cherokee Blackhawk | $41,000 |
| Grand Cherokee Blackhawk petrol | $50,500 |
| Grand Cherokee Blackhawk diesel | $56,500 |
