With two individual leather seats in the rear, a rear business table and champagne chiller with bespoke flutes lets you know this isn’t your run-of-the-mill Jaguar XJ.
In fact this is the Jaguar XJ ‘Ultimate’ and while no Australia details have been announced, Jaguar has confirmed production of its new range-topper with the first 20 in ‘Celestial Black’ (but customers can chose to individualize their car in any shade) and they ride on 20-inch ‘Maroa’ design alloy wheels and air suspension. Externally, the Jaguar XJ Ultimate is distinguished by some detail changes and chrome trim around the front end, oval tailpipes and unique DRLs.
Under the bonnet you can choose between Jaguar’s new supercharged 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol, the existing supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine or the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel. Transmission is Jaguar’s latest eight-speed automatic transmission.
But it’s what is inside which counts with this very special XJ Jaguar – exclusive finishes include Herringbone veneer and machined aluminium (a luxury yacht and private jet look) and you can order bespoke interior LED lighting details.
Those two individual rear seats are trimmed in premium leather with a massage function and climate controls plus electric adjustment, recline and lumbar support. Those in the rear can use an electronically-controlled business desk machined from solid aluminium, and trimmed in piano black.
And each rear seat occupant gets an iPad and keyboard, housed and charged in individual leather-trimmed docks in the rear of the front seats plus individual twin headrest-mounted entertainment screens with wireless headphones.
Between the seats is a full-length leather-trimmed centre console and that champagne chiller.
Audio is a 20-speaker surround sound system exclusively designed by premium British brand Meridian.
