Revered Italian design house Italdesign Giugiaro have today released an official rendering of its new product, which they’re bringing to the Geneva motor show. They’ve talked about this car before, but this is the first time we’re seeing it properly and oh boy is it a looker.
We don’t actually know what it’s called because it hasn’t been given a name, but the rumour going round is that it may be dubbed the ‘DaVinci.’ This thing is a speed monster, and it certainly looks it. It has the proportions of an old-school GT with a long bonnet and a cabin-rearward design, with a set of sharp headlights, pronounced air intakes, and a beautiful chrome side-strake down the doors replete with a small motif of the Italian flag.
We’re going to guess from this one image that it’ll house a 2+2 seating arrangement, accessible by the enormous gullwing doors. What’s also worth noting is the little flap just aft of the front wheel, which suggest some sort of electrified powertrain. Plug-in hybrid or fully-electric, we do not know.
What we do know is that this car will be unveiled in its entirety at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show, which opens its doors on March the 5th, so stay tuned to CarShowroom as we bring you more updates as they come.
