Isuzu Ute Australia is commemorating three years of sales in Australia by launching its third limited edition D-MAX ute model.
Numbers are up slightly on previous versions – 300 of the Isuzu D-MAX LE III will be produced – and priced from $45,500, they represent startling value.
Based on the handily-equipped Isuzu D-MAX LS-U 4x4 crew ute, the limited edition model boasts extra features worth more than $8,000.
Up-front there’s an egg-carton grille, chrome bonnet strip, silver/chrome bumper over-rider and frosted chrome fog-light bezels. The bonnet runs twin racing stripes and there are also side stripes and decals.
Slim-line alloy side steps with body-color caps and non-slip rubber stipples look good as do the machine-faced 16-inch alloy wheels with contrasting gloss gunmetal inners.
Out back there’s a Kenwood reversing camera (image displayed on the foldaway centre console satellite navigation screen), tub-liner (still with tie-down loops) and a single-hoop chrome sports bar with high-mounted brake light.
Inside are nice-smelling full leather seats and high quality carpet floor mats.
“With its sporty flair and cool kit, LE III will extend D-MAX’s appeal beyond its established popularity among tradies, farmers, caravanners and fleets to a younger, more urbane set of drivers,” explained Isuzu Ute Australia’s sales chief Paul Vuko.
