Infiniti also caught the Pebble Beach action and used the annual prestige automotive gathering in North California to reveal it all-new JX model seven-seat SUV.
While Nissan calls the JX a concept vehicle, you can lock this one in for production debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
In North America, Infiniti’s model range includes multiple SUV options, but we’re confident the family-friendly, all-new JX will join the sporty (but not actually cargo-carrying) FX in the Australian lineup when Infiniti re-launches ‘Downunder’ next year.
Expect the Infiniti JX to be powered by an updated version of Nissan’s 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine driving through a CVT automatic transmission. In North America, the Infiniti JW will employ either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive drivetrains.
Inside are luxury/technology items one would expect from Infiniti – a massive glass roof, second row seats slide for and aft to accommodate third row occupants of varying sizes, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, blind-spot detection and a reversing camera which monitors approaching traffic from the sides.
Mmmm… Infiniti’s return to Australia gets more enticing every week. Car Showroom has driven a few Infinitis visiting the USA – we know they’re good, very, very good.
