Building to its global launch next year, Hyundai has released a sneak look at the interior of its all-new compact sedan.
Code-named ‘MD’ the newcomer is also slated for Australian introduction in 2011 as the Korean giant, along with sister company Kia, continue an avalanche of new products.
The MD’s interior design concept is called ‘Wind Craft’ and Hyundai says the look is intended to appeal to younger buyers.
For the instruments, the MD features twin cylinders with a VFD (Vacuum Florescent Display). The four-spoke steering wheel contains remote controls for audio and cruise control.
Elsewhere there is high-gloss black, silver and metallic-look finishes.
Hyundai says the MD will achieve class-leading fuel efficiency and eco credentials with the latest version of its ‘Gamma’ direct injection petrol engine.
Smaller than Hyundai’s just-launched i45 sedan, we’re tipping the MD will continue Hyundai’s value-driven philosophy and will launch with a sub-$20,000 price tag.
