Hyundai’s slick Santa Fe – ‘Australia’s Best Cars Award’ winner SUV $45K - $65K – just got better with the launch of the updated 2015 model year versions.
Among the new features are: Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), hands-free tailgate operation, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof with ‘ignition-off’ function and Daytime Running Lights (DRLs).
Hyundai’s SPAS uses a sensor in the proximity key – have the key on you, stand by the tailgate for three seconds and it opens automatically.
As well as those sharp-looking DRLs, the only styling change is a darker chrome front grille.
Hyundai Santa Fe Active model rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, mid-grade Elite scores 18-inchers while the range-topping Highlander gains 19-inch alloys (elite and Active are exclusively turbo-diesel).
No changes under the bonnet with Hyundai Santa Fe offered with either the 141kW/242Nm 2.4-litre ‘Theta-II’ petrol engine or the R2.2-litre CRDi turbo-diesel (144kW/421Nm in manual or 436Nm for the six-speed automatic).
The updated lineup looks like this:

Active (6-speed manual) $38,490
Active (6-speed automatic) $40,990
Diesel
Active (6-speed manual) $41,490
Active (6-speed automatic) $43,990
