Hyundai UK has launched its i20 Blue model with exhaust emissions under 100g/km to avoid London’s Congestion Charge.
Under the bonnet, Hyundai’s Euro5-compliant 1.4CRDi four-cylinder diesel, but fitment of Intelligent Stop & Go (ISG), low rolling resistance tyres and some under-body aerodynamics has seen the Hyundai i20 Blue achieve a 12 per cent reduction in C02 emissions – down from 111g/km to 98 g/km.
The Hyundai i20 Blue runs Hyundai UK’s ‘Comfort’ level specification which includes 15-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity.
Joining the i10 Blue, the Hyundai i20 Blue provides the Korean giant with two vehicles for UK buyers with exhaust emissions under 100g/km thus avoiding London’s Congestion Charge and being exempt from VED.
