Some reckon the European i40 sedan and wagon are Hyundai’s best passenger cars so there will be extra focus on the updated model range revealed overnight in the U.K.
There’s new styling, updated engines and the addition of the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
At the front we can see the Hyundai i40 adds the integrated LED fog-lights we saw on the luxury Genesis as well as new front and rear lights, a bolder front grille, new bumpers and new-design 16-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels.
European models of the Hyundai i40 are exclusively diesel-fuelled and the updated lineup sees a more powerful version of the 1.7-litre turbo-diesel offering 104kW/340Nm and driving through the new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
No word yet on the petrol version we see here (currently a 130kW/213Nm 2.0-litre).
Hyundai Australia is still finalising local specification details.
