Hyundai's i30 continues to strike a chord among Australian buyers in a segment filled with very strong competitors.
Hyundai Australia (HMCA) has revealed that its i30 has been the top-selling car down under, and for three consecutive months. The news comes fresh off the latest VFACTS figures released for May 2016.
The i30 was leading the charge as the overall best-selling passenger car in May and was also the most popular choice in the small-car segment. May this year was an overall big month for the South Korean marque – their May sales grew 8.9 percent over the same period last year.
The i30 wasn’t the only strong performer in terms of unit sales in Australia. In their respective segments, the Tuscon and iMax were also within the top three, while sale of the Elantra also helped Hyundai become the most popular choice within the Small Car segment.
“I’m proud to say once again that Australians have proved just how much they like Hyundais,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Operating Officer, Scott Grant. “This is a strong result as we move forward into June, the biggest month of the year. Hyundai vehicles combine desirability and driveability with industry-leading value-for-money, great levels of equipment, safety and technology - together with an unbeatable after-sales program.”
