Hyundai i20 WRC got off to a great start in the UK with Dani Sordo winning the 'Shoot Out' on Forest Rally Stage at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Sordo managed to set the fastest aggregate time after three laps around the 1.9km track. Setting a time of 7 minutes 49 seconds over the three days Sordo had VIP guests and journalists alongside him as co-driver, he managed to set the fastest lap on all three days.
Sordo commented: “It was a great privilege for me to show what the Hyundai i20 WRC car is capable of at such a popular global motorsport event. This was the first time fans in the UK were able to see our car in action, so it was important to put in a good performance while my team mates were competing in Poland. To come away with the fastest times of the weekend against some great drivers was just fantastic.”
Also on the Skoda Rally Stage was Sebastien Loeb in his title-winning Citroen DS3 WRCs who managed to finish second.
