Just launched in Australia, Hyundai’s all-new Elantra has collected two ‘gongs’ from North American consumer group AutoPacific.
Based on 72,000 owner surveys of new vehicles in the first half of 2011, AutoPacific found the Hyundai Elantra delivered the highest levels of owner satisfaction of any compact car and named it AutoPacific’s ‘Ideal Compact Car’.
That’s a real achievement to beat a field which included the Volkswagen Jetta, Mazda3 and Chevrolet Cruze.
In the survey respondents rated their new vehicle in 15 categories and were asked how close those criteria came to be ‘ideal’. The categories included power, acceleration, safety and even in-car storage.
