Car Showroom will drive Hyundai’s Veloster SR Turbo at next week’s national media launch but ahead of that the Korean giant has released details of the muscled-up version of its innovative three-door coupe.
The Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo is currently rolling into dealerships priced from $31,990.
Power comes from Hyundai’s new ‘Gamma’ turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine delivering 150kW of power at 6000rpm and peak torque of 265Nm from 1750rpm. That’s 46 per-cent more power and 60 per-cent more torque than the naturally-aspirated Veloster.
Brakes, suspension and steering are also upgraded over the regular Hyundai Veloster.
The full Hyundai Veloster range looks like this:
Veloster 1.6 GDI manual $23,990
Veloster 1.6 GDI automatic $25,990
Veloster+ 1.6 GDI manual $28,990
