The 2011 Interbrand ranking of the ‘100 Best Global Brands’ has listed Hyundai as the ‘fastest growing brand’ for the second consecutive year.
Interbrand calculated Hyundai to be valued at US$6 billion – 19.3 per cent above its 2010 worth. This outstripped the growth in brand value of major rivals like Volkswagen (14 per cent) and Audi (13 per cent) and was well ahead of the average growth rate of the 100 Best Global Brands (2.6 per cent).
The Interbrand report said: “Hyundai’s product competitiveness has been acknowledged by such leading global quality rating agencies as Consumer Reports and J.D. Power. Hyundai displayed the most memorable performance continuing from the previous year despite a growth slowdwon of global brands.”
