HSV versions of Holden’s latest Commodore have been launched and feature an impressive array of goodies to please HSV fans.

On the engineering front, the standout is the optional (except on Clubsport R8 Tourer) Liquid Propane Injection (LPI) – the first time this sort of fuel economy system has been fitted to an Australian car.

Also on the options list is HSV’s new Side Blind Zone Alert system (SBZA) which alerts the driver if an object is passing the vehicle’s blind spots – an excellent safety feature seen on up-market European vehicles.

New standard features include HSV’s Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) which provides real-time performance data, rear park assist with a reversing camera, satellite navigation and a touch-screen audio system with iPod connectivity.

Inside, the latest HSV lineup boasts piano black trim for the center console and steering wheel, new instrumentation in the new ‘Oracle’ dashboard, twin-stitch seat trims for GTS and Senator Signature (plus a new ‘Turismo Rosso” leather colour) and new stainless steel model-specific ID plates.

Launching the standout new lineup, HSV Managing Director, Phil Harding, said: “The combination of new technologies, stylish interior improvements and a continued focus on all-round performance further strengthens HSV’s position as the ultimate in Australian-made performance cars”.
