We know the Australian designed and engineered Ford Ranger is a ‘beaut ute’ and consumers agree with the Ranger breaking sales records month after month in both Australia and New Zealand.
Across the ditch, with the 2014 sales race finishing line in-sight, incredibly the Ford Ranger is in pole position to unseat the Toyota HiLux’s 32-year reign 32 to claim best-selling pick-up honours and may even knock-off the Toyota Corolla to become New Zealand’s number one best-selling automotive nameplate period.
Locally, Ford Ranger has broken each of its monthly sales records in the 10 months which ended in October. The 22,539 Australian sales already in the books for Ford Ranger this year has surpassed the entire 2013 total.
Ford Ranger is now Australia’s number two best-selling ute and has slashed the lead of Toyota HiLux.
“The fact that Ranger was designed and engineered in Australia means it has proven capability in our harsh conditions; something that our customers recognize,” explained Ford Australia’s marketing vie president Graeme Whickman.
