All is quiet from Honda Australia on 2012 Civic plans, but Honda UK has announced the lineup for its all-new models will include three engines and four model grades. All versions will run the ‘ECON’ driving mode (as fitted to the Insight) and manual versions will feature automatic start/stop (Idle Stop for Honda).

Power comes from 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engines and a 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel.

All models will run a rear window wiper and inside a five-inch Multi-Information Display (i-MID) screen will provide fuel consumption, audio and climate control information.

Entry-level Honda Civic SE models employ the 1.4-litre petrol engine with 1.8-litre petrol and the diesel extra-cost options.

ES models run the 1.8-litre petrol engine or (for additional coin) the diesel. Extra features include a reversing camera, cruise control, dual-zone air-conditioning, hands-free Bluetooth, six-speaker audio and leather for the steering wheel and gear lever.

To SE and ES models you can throw-in a T-Grade package which adds integrated satellite navigation with full European mapping and touch screen controls.

EX models are boosted by leather trim hard-disc satellite navigation and a premium audio system.

Range-topper is the EX GT which gains 17-inch alloys, bi-xenon HID headlights, sunroof and front/rear parking sensors. Adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation braking are on the options list.
