Honda has been named Britain’s most reliable automotive brand in a survey conducted by industry publication Fleet News.
The ‘FN50’ report covered 1.5-million cars owned and run by Britain’s 50 largest contract hire companies.
The Honda Accord and Civic (the latter manufactured at Honda’s British plant in Swindon) were both placed amongst the top-10 most reliable cars according to the survey. Both Hondas are popular choices with fleet buyers in the UK.
Announcing the survey results, Fleet News editor Stephen Briers said: “Businesses that depend on vehicles take reliability very seriously and can’t afford downtime through breakdowns that incur extra cost. This is the largest reliability survey of its kind, so any vehicle with a top 10 placing will represent a safe bet for any organization or private motorist”.
