Honda To Reveal Its Diesel Future In Geneva

The Geneva Motor Show will unveil Honda’s all-new 1.6-litre diesel engine – the first production version of its ‘Earth Dreams Technology’.

Also breaking cover will be a prototype of the next-generation European CRV which is scheduled for market launch late this year.

Honda’s 1.6-litre diesel delivers maximum power of 88kW at 4000rpm and very impressive peak torque of 300Nm from 2000rpm. Honda says its new engine is the world’s lightest 1.6-litre diesel and will boast exhaust CO2 emissions sub-100g/km.

Expect Honda’s new diesel to be rolled-out across the model range in coming years.

Geneva will also see the European debut of Honda’s all-new NSX supercar concept and the EV-STER electric two-seat convertible.
