Honda’s EV-STER electric-powered two-seat sports car was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show and features technology straight from motorsport to provide significant driver engagement and performance.
Carbon composite materials are used extensively to reduce weight - this contributes to an impressive 160kms range between re-charges – and the driver is able to change electric motor drive characteristics and suspension calibration on the run.
The two-seat Honda EV-STER concept is a rear-drive two-seat electric-powered sports car with nice, aero-inspired styling featuring a ‘Honda-style’ front end and racy curves behind the head-restraints to direct airflow to the rear spoiler.
Inside, steering is done with a ‘twin’lever’ system and there is a network display with internet access.
Honda employs a 10kWh lithium ion battery which can propel the EV-STER to a top speed of 160km/h.
