Honda’s slick CR-Z hybrid sports car has just gone on-sale in Australia and already a high-performance Mugen version has emerged.
Mugen is a Honda-specialist tuning company and Mugen Euro, working with Honda UK has developed the CR-Z iCF.
While the electric part of the Honda CR-Z powertrain is unchanged, Mugen Euro fits its own-design forced air induction and ECU mapping to lift power to 129kW. Standing start acceleration times are tipped to improve by more than three seconds.
Honda UK and Mugen Euro are continuing development of CR-ZiCF with first examples scheduled for sale in Britain by early next year.
