In a bid to improve the value proposition for 2018, Holden has introduced the limited-run Colorado LSX for this model year, capped at just 1,000 units. The Colorado LSX promises to offer that customised look without compromising any practicality or denting your wallet (too much), with manual dual-cab models available at just $44,990 drive-away.
Available also as a dual-cab chassis, the Colorado LSX packs a number of unique aesthetic changes to underline its special nature. Opting for an LSX bags you 18-inch alloys with all-terrain tyres, a blacked-out grille, black fender flares, matte-black sports bar out back with ‘Colorado’ branding, and a soft tonneau cover.
Just 800 Crew Cab models and 200 Crew Cab Chassis variants will be made, with the latter coming in at $50,055 (RRP). Motivation will come from the usual 2.8-litre turbodiesel mill with 147kW and 440Nm, with power going to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic can be optioned on for an extra $2200, and that’ll bump up torque to a meaty 500Nm.
The Colorado LSX maintains the same 3.5-tonne towing capacity as the standard model, as well as the 5-star ANCAP rating that all Colorado models enjoy.
