Holden again flexed its international design credentials by revealing the all-new crew cab Colorado 4x4 ute in concept form.
The five-seat crew cab version of Holden’s workhorse was styled for the global market at Holden’s design studios in Port Melbourne and is scheduled for local launch in 2012.
Like the rival Ford Ranger, the all-new Holden Colorado adopts a serious truck-like look with a sculptured bonnet, massive grille, bold wheel arches and strong-looking cab. The show version also ran an American-style roof car and tonneau cover.
Inside the Colorado concept featured abundant luxury with blue leather seats and dashboard trim plus steel/dark finishes.
Under the bonnet, the Colorado displayed ran Holden’s 2.8-litre turbo-diesel – one of several engines options which will be revealed when the new model hits showroom floors next year.
And while the massive 20-inch wheels added a sporty touch to the Holden Colorado displayed – they’re doubtful starters for the production models.
