High-Spec Holden Cruze Diesel Launches Early 2010
Holden will add a CDX model diesel to it good-looking Cruze small car early next year.
Currently the diesel-powered Cruze is only available in the entry-level CD model specification.
The new Cruze CDX diesel will be powered by the current 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel that provides 110kW/320Nm and will be available with either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic.
Cruze CDX Diesel will be priced at $27,990 for the manual. Add an extra $2K for the automatic price.
The new CDX will mirror the specifications of the petrol-powered CDX except (as per the CD diesel) there is no spare tyre. A tyre inflation kit is included but buyers can order a spare wheel at no extra cost.
Included in the CDX kit are 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ASC) and ABS anti-lock brakes.
Holden says the manual CDX Diesel Cruze will return combined cycle fuel economy of 5.7l/100kms (manual).
Already one of Australia's top-10 best-selling vehicles, the Korean-built Cruze has been a success ahead of the commencement of its local production at Holden's Adelaide vehicle assembly plant.
