Holden Barina Updated For 2017

Holden today put up the prices and specs of its 2017 Barina on its website. 2016 Barina hatchbacks are currently on a runout-sale while the facelift model makes its way into showrooms nationwide this month.

The facelift Barina was first shown to the public last September, alongside siblings like the Astra, the Trax, the Trailblazer, as well as the Acadia SUV. The Barina makes up one of 24 new models that Holden intends to launch for our market by the end of the decade.

The facelift Barina brings with it, firstly, a new fascia, a revised rear-end, and updates smattered about the interior. Presently, Holden is listing a $18,816 drive-away price for the base Barina LS, with prices differing for other postcodes.

Standard equipment for the new Barina includes a revised 7.0-inch MyLink infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), LED daytime running lights, six airbags, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, rear camera, fog lights, cruise control, and 16-inch alloys.

The top LT variant, priced at $22,867 drive-away for Melbourne, adds 17-inch alloys, a leather steering wheel, ‘Sportec’ artificial leather seat trim, heated front seats, and keyless entry and go. Both cars get the same 1.6-litre petrol, producing 85kW and 155Nm and going through a five speed manual on the LS (automatic optional) and a standard six-speed automatic on the LT.
