Not quite the stonking R.S.200 EDC, Renault has a GT version of the Clio heading Downunder and scheduled for launch in April.
And the latest edition to the handy Renault Clio range has an exclusive colour – ‘Malta Blue’.
Called the Renault Clio GT 120 EDC, the newcomer packs a sporty touch with a comprehensive body kit, 17-inch wheels, LED lights and extra tinted rear glass.
Inside are sports bucket seats with GT-branded head rests, grey finish and grey trim highlights and EDC paddle shifters for the transmission.
Power comes from Renault’s 90kW/190Nm turbocharged 1.2-litre engine, driving through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Underneath is sports suspension from Renault Sport Technologies – front springs/dampers are 40 per-cent stiffer and the rears are 30 per-cent stiffer.
So it’s good news - another day, another ripping Renault heads for Australia.
