MINI has really sharpened its pencils by launching a new MINI Ray model priced at $25,500.
The first MINI to offer a driveaway price in Australia under $30,000 is in fact a global model for the German brand – it debuted in Italy.
Under the bonnet is MINI’s 72kW/153Nm 1.6-litre engine which provides zippy acceleration (zero to 100km/h in 10.5 seconds) and handy combined cycle fuel economy of 5.4l/100kms. Transmission is a six-speed manual.
MINI Ray runs unique external mirrors and wheels plus six bold side scuttle colours.
Inside are the expected MINI features such as a six-speaker audio system.
Only 300 examples of the MINI Ray are coming to Australia, so if you’ve long fancied a MINI but didn’t quite have the coin, you’ll need to move fast.
