Here it is, the historic first ever SUV from Maserati – the Levante.
There is certainly some anticipation ahead of the Geneva Motor Show unveiling of the prestige Italian brand’s brands ground-breaking SUV – it will be a show-stopper for sure.
Maserati being Maserati, you can expect a knockout interior with lots of leather and, we suspect, brilliant driving dynamics.
The Italians are keeping ‘shoosh’ on specifics but we do know there will be a choice of petrol or diesel engines, driving through an eight-speed automatic transmission and ‘Q4’ intelligent all-wheel-drive.
Evident in the pics are some hallmark Maserati styling cues – such as the three air-vents on the front fenders, and the ‘Saetta’ logo on the trapezoidal C-pillars.
Maserati will launch the all-new Levante in Europe in the third quarter of this year and we can expect this gorgeous addition to the SUV ranks to arrive locally early next year.
