Skoda - Volkswagen’s Czech Republic brand – is enduring a bumpy 2010 with sales so far up by only 366 units in an overall market which is accelerating.
That’s disappointing as the Skoda range – manufactured to the same high standards as all Volkswagen Group products – offers some excellent, feature loaded and sharply-priced vehicles such as the remarkable Skoda Superb sedan and wagon, both of which are favourites with the Car Showroom team. In fact the Superb wagon has just been named ‘Best Large Car Under $60,000’ in the 2010 Australia’s Best cars Award conducted by motoring associations like the NRMA, RACQ and RACV.
Skoda has responded with a smart extra value offer of 12 months free comprehensive insurance on all models sold between now and 28 February next year.
That’s great news for new car buyers as annual insurance costs are a burden, especially for families, and Skoda says premiums will probably rise in 2011.
