Ford UK has added a new, sporty variant to its Focus lineup – the Zetec S version.
The big news is under the bonnet with the British debut of Ford’s 132kW, turbocharged, 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Two diesels (2.0-litre and 1.6-litre) are also available as well as a 91kW 1.6-litre petrol.
Externally, Ford UK’s new Focus performance model (until the ST arrives next year) gains a sporty bodykit comprising front and rear spoilers and side sills as well as 17-inch alloy wheels and LED rear lights. Inside the extras include aluminium pedals and push-button start.
Underneath, the Ford Focus Zetec S runs sports suspension with a lowered ride height and firmer springs/dampers.
The options list includes sports seats trimmed in red leather.
