You won’t find a better ute/pickup than the Ford Ranger and from May the lineup grows with the addition of the new 4X4 XLS variant.
Priced at $48,090, the Ford Ranger XLS is great buying and plus the gap between entry-level XT and higher-specification XLT.
Ford Ranger XLS is based on the 4X4 XL Double Cab pick-up – so its already got an impressive arsenal of standard kit – and adds 16-inch alloy wheels (steel wheels on XL), front fog lights, silver radiator grille, body-colour exterior mirrors, carpet floor coverings and a locking rear differential.
The locally-engineered Ford ranger made history by being the first pickup to be awarded the maximum five-star safety rating by ANCAP.
“The range has been a huge hit in Australia,” revealed Ford Australia marketing chief David Katic. “Customers appreciate the smart technologies like Bluetooth and Voice Activation as well as Ranger’s five-star safety rating. We’re excited to be able to offer the XLS tour customers, many of whom have been asking for a mid-range model between the XL and XLT.”
