In rugby league, they’d call it a “blow-up deluxe”, others would call it a “meltdown”…let’s just say Toyota has lodged an official complaint with R.L Polk, the attendants of the global automotive scoreboard regarding the 2012 tally.
Reports out of North America claim Toyota’s records show 1.16-million Corollas were sold last year which would place it ahead of the currently-recognized 2012 global top-seller the Ford Focus (1.02-million sales).
Either way the figure eclipses the total Australian new car market in the same year.
Bottom line is: “small cars are king”…however you measure it.
