Strong growth in China sees the Ford Focus retail its crown as the world’s best-selling individual car model.
For the three months ending on March 31, 288,724 Focus vehicles were registered worldwide. That’s 18 per-cent up on the same period in 2012.
China is exploding for Ford Focus with first quarter sales of 104,065 – that’s a staggering 153 per-cent higher than the first three months of 2012.
Ford has ramped-up production with Focus now manufactured at its plants in Argentina, China, Germany, North American, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. Combined those plants can produce two Ford Focuses every minute for an annual capacity of 1.5-million vehicles.
